Wavenet at the Ekiden 2023
October 23, 2023Our colleagues gathered in the Belgian capital to take part in the DHL Ekiden, a team‑based marathon.
At the Ekiden Marathon, the Wavenet team showed up and gave their very best!
This sporting event has its origins in Japan. Ekiden teams are made up of six runners who together cover the legendary marathon distance of 42.195 km. Instead of using a traditional relay baton, the handover is done with a special sash called the "tasuki". Following tradition, it is worn over the shoulder, diagonally across the chest.
Our athletes were in Brussels this year to pass the relay and enjoy an exceptional sporting experience.
Team spirit and good vibes were definitely part of the day!
