The project
DressingPlus, a specialist in custom-made furniture, needed a digital solution able to reflect the complexity of its products while offering a fluid experience to final users. The goal: to design a 3D configurator enabling the creation of personalized walk-in closets, and a comprehensive back office to manage the entire ordering process, from creation to delivery.
Wavenet mobilized all its profiles—project manager, analyst, front-end and back-end developers, tester—to meet this ambition with a 100% custom tool that is powerful, precise, and ergonomic.
The challenge
The main challenge was twofold: transforming a technical sales process into a simple and intuitive user experience, while integrating the business complexity of a 100% customizable product. The configurator had to guarantee realistic and consistent 3D visualization, while complying with strict business rules related to the feasibility of walk-in closets.
On the back office side, the challenge was to coordinate a dense and complex order flow—from sales validation to production—in a single, reliable, and efficient tool. All this had to be done within a tight deadline, with high requirements in terms of performance, accuracy, and scalability.
Our solution
To meet DressingPlus' ambitions, we designed a custom digital solution that combines technical performance with a smooth user experience.
The 3D configurator, developed with Three.js, allows users to visualize their wardrobe in real time, while respecting complex business constraints. Thanks to close collaboration between analysts, developers, and testers, each workflow—from material selection to order validation—has been designed to ensure reliability, ergonomics, and precision.
On the back office side, a clear and customized interface has been set up with Umbraco, allowing teams to track each order, generate quotes, and adapt offers independently.
